Karen and Deon met in 2008, by amazing God-cumstances and share so many interests and ambitions. They are originally from Gauteng in South Africa and wish to travel far more than they already have.

Deon is a geologist, sound engineer, videographer, boat builder (and other forms f wood worker) and all-round smart man. Karen is a teacher, Bible-studyer, ambitious-to-be-writer, aspiring artist, mission-hearted individual.

They lived in Uganda ( home town Mbale)  for a year (mostly in  2011). Then they lived in Mwanza, Tanzania, for most of 2012 into 2013.  Exploration geology has since diminished, and after a year on the Lissataba Nature reserve in South Africa, Deon and Karen are doing really wildly different things in the wilderness of Northern Sweden.  We are living in a beautiful tiny town, set among huge lakes and vast forests, looking for ways to make a difference.

Please look around, see what is happening as God’s plans unfold!

Sounds so very exciting! Good luck in your journeys and Godspeed. Now go and do what He has planned for you………………inspire, lead and always believe.

Jeremiah 29 vs 11 to 14:

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord,

And so it begins; another adventure of an already filled novel

Love your blog! I’ve lived and volunteered on the other side of Africa. When I’m back on the continent next year I’ll wave to you from the West. 🙂
